  • Responsibilities

    CR of Maryland is seeking a motivated Property Maintenance Tech to assist with maintaining 500+ rental properties throughout the Baltimore metro area. The primary role of this position is to respond to and complete all facets of maintenance requests from our residents. With the supervision of a Maintenance Supervisor, the Property Maintenance Tech is responsible for providing general support to the team for all maintenance concerns. Customer service and efficient work are paramount. Maintenance Technicians will be provided a vehicle or vehicle allowance, a company cell phone, & necessary tools to complete the job at hand. Responsibilities: Essential functions key responsibilities based on the needs of the company include the following but are not limited to: • General Home Maintenance: Repair/replace faucets, toilets, washing machines, unclogging drains, replacing air filters, caulking, and other basic house repairs • Electrical repair: replacement of sockets, installation of ceiling fans, replacing/resetting circuit breakers, etc. • Appliance repair: repair and/or replacement of major household appliances such as refrigerators, dishwashers, range ovens, microwaves, washers, and dryers • Drywall repair: includes filling in small holes caused by nails or minor damage from normal wear and tear, or damage caused by leaks. These repairs can take place during occupancy and/or during a turnover • Landscaping: includes grass mowing, mulching, sweeping, or raking leaves, concrete, debris removal, etc. • Trash Hauling: haul away trash/debris from properties as needed • Customer Service: professional, prompt, and courteous service with residents at all times and with vendors that provide additional services Qualifications: Education Experience: • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and demonstrated relevant work experience (property maintenance 1-5 years). Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record. Must pass a national background and credit check Knowledge, skills, and abilities: • Strong work ethic • Ability to perform in a team environment • Ability to follow precise instructions • Technology savvy with smartphones & software applications • Strong multi-tasking • Strong problem solving • Working through a busy schedule • Positive communication skills • Physically fit and able to lift up to 80 lbs Compensation: $19 - $25 hourly
