    Job Description

    As a PROCESS ENGINEER, you'll have the unique opportunity to work within an integrated Architecture, Engineering, and Construction firm capable of executing ONEsolution integrated project delivery work.     HOW WILL I CONTRIBUTE?

    You will work on life sciences and food & beverage process engineering projects including oligonucleotide and alternative protein projects. You'll communicate with clients to identify their design requirements, translate those requirements into scope, document the open issues, and make project decisions required to consistently advance the design. You will identify departures from contracted scope, changes to design direction, and elevate as required to the discipline lead or project manager.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Frequently communicate,  coordinate, and build trusted partnerships with internal architects and engineers, client, construction manager, subcontractors, and vendors 
    • Support the generation of deliverables or participate in activities which require more experience, deeper understanding or involve more complexity such as:
      • Technical Bid Tabulations
      • Vendor Package Management
      • Factory Acceptance Testing
      • Risk Assessments
      • HAZOP / HCCP / Etc.
      • 3D Model Review & Coordination
      • Provide direction for 3D Model Clash Resolution
      • Functional Specifications
    • Participate in cross discipline squad checks
    • Participate in discipline checks for small projects of intermediate complexity and drive overall project quality
    • Provide mentorship to other Process Engineers
    • Lead project system design programming and planning with support

    OFFICE LOCATION: Carlsbad, CA

    WORK MODE: Hybrid

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in discipline specific degree
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience required, preferably in a design firm setting
    • EIT is preferred, PE is recommended
    • Highly experienced with performing engineering calculations
    • Experience with applicable Industry & Regulatory Guidance and statutory building codes

    ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience and interest in Oligonucleotide or Alternative Protein Projects 
    • Proficiency with Revit preferred
    • Experience with support of construction activities such as RFI responses, submittal reviews, punch list development, and construction progress reports
    • Experience with troubleshooting issues with discipline and systems preferred
