Cross Ocean Technologies, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Contract General Litigator with Estate and Trust Planning experience. You will be assigned to our vast pool of clients becoming part of our burgeoning practice, implementing the most sophisticated litigation techniques on behalf of clients from Oakland, San Francisco, Silicon Valley and beyond. Learn from and develop your skills with some of the leading Estate and Trust practitioners.

REQUIREMENTS AND DETAILS:

· Minimum 2-4 years General Litigation experience with heavy emphasis on Estate and Trust Planning and Litigation representing clients through all phases of litigation.

· Broad experience with complex estate, tax, and wealth strategies.

· Equivalent experience eligible for re-positioning include. Tax-oriented real property and transactional practices.

· Primary areas of litigation include Trust, Estate and Tax planning for individuals and families, estate administration, income tax, transfer tax and charitable planning, as well as pass-through entity (LLCs and LPs) and succession planning.

· Position requires superior communication, drafting, writing, research, and analytical skills, with the ability to work both independently and as a team member.

· Licensed in California and expertise in California tax law required.

· Solid work ethic and ambition in a team context. Problem-solving manner, ability to work with variety of personalities and under pressure.

· Team orientated, including experience working in groups (with lawyers, paralegals, as well as clients).

· Client service orientation and high touch responsiveness expected.

· Financial background pertinent to client base and transactions necessary.

Compensation:

· Starting Salary negotiable

· 2 weeks paid vacation; 2 weeks paid PTO.

· Paid twice per month.

· 2-3 days’ work from home.

· Attorneys operate on billable hours.
