    Summary

    The Commissioning Engineer is engaged in the testing of the railcars to make sure they function correctly and produce the expected results. In doing so they bring the railcars to a point at which it can be used most effectively. The person for this job will frequently access the following areas including but not limited to the pits under train tracks, the interior of the car, and exterior roof, to conduct testing activities with fellow engineers. Commissioning engineers, therefore, need to possess a thorough understanding of manufacturing and product use, as well as of customer expectation. The person for this position will also receive professional training on up-to-date technical skills from our parent company in the United States and/or in China.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Understand the workings of electrical, mechanical, or process systems and their control strategies

    Enforce high-quality standards for engineering drawings, project documentation, and construction workmanship.

    Work alongside Engineering, Quality, Production, Procurement and Construction teams to make provisions with suppliers

    Responsible for vehicle commissioning and training commissioning workers to do dynamic and static commissioning; including creating, filing, recording and preserving related documents.

    Lead teams of technicians, vendors, and engineers to work onsite for diagnosing and troubleshooting faults. Coordinate commissioning and construction activities to ensure simultaneous activities are conducted safely and cause minimal disruption to operations.

    Follow up on post-delivery activities; including after-sales technical support.

    Quickly assess and drive resolution of technical barriers to completion.

    Design and improve existing tooling/fixtures for commissioning work during the manufacturing process of the production line.

    Review various commissioning documents released by the Parent Company and transforming the details to apply with current project needs. Execute any change notifications issued by the Parent Company.

    Develop detailed work instructions and related technical electrical documents, flowcharts, schematics and etc.

    Responsible for managing the process of planning and designing of commissioning test, lean production, ERP systems and related work scope.

    Education and Experience

    Required

    Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Control/Automation Engineering from an accredited College or University

    Three to five years of relevant Testing & Commissioning work experience with strong learning ability

    Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and etc.

    Ability to compile and revise technical documents in appropriate language

    Experienced with the use of testing and measuring instruments; such as reading different meters, sensors, oscilloscopes, and etc.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Working knowledge of various software programs such as:

    Visio

    AutoCAD

    CATIA

    High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for

    Data Management

    Tracking, and Reporting of project status

    Preferred

    Relevant work experience in railroad and/or transportation industry

    Experience in the principal of mechanical and hydraulic system
