  • Responsibilities

    Summary

    Coordinates the procurement of services, materials, and equipment for the organization by performing the duties described below. This role is responsible for the coordinating and managing of all aspects of the procurement process, from requisition through contract close-out, including all contract administration activities.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Draft solicitation packages.

    Identify potential suppliers and bidders.

    Meet with vendors and visit vendor sites for tours as appropriate.

    Conduct a vetting process for new suppliers and bidders to determine or verify qualifications.

    Issue solicitation packages and addenda.

    Negotiate contracts and change orders.

    Prepare contracts and change order recommendations.

    Track contract deliverables and contractor responsibilities to ensure acceptable performance.

    Coordinate with the Logistics Department staff to expedite deliverables as necessary.

    Other duties as assigned.

    Travel

    Some domestic travel may be necessary to visit vendors or potential vendors.

    Education and Work Experience

    Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.

    Three to five years related work experience.

    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite in support of procurement activities.

    Working knowledge of formal information procurement procedures.

    Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    Strong ability to establish and maintain working relationships.

    Familiarity with project management software, and project management skills.
