    Summary

    CRRC Sifang America(“CRRC”) is seeking detail-oriented and passionate individuals to join our team as Assistant Quality Engineers("AQE"). In this role, you will be responsible for conducting incoming inspections, assembly process inspections, and/or wiring tests of train components. You will utilize quality forms to track and address quality issues, ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications, and improving production efficiency and product quality. The Assistant Quality Engineer will work with various groups/departments closely, including but not limited to Production teams, Commissioning and Functional Testing teams, Logistics teams, and Process Engineering teams, as quality is related to every aspect of the business.

    General:

    Record inspection/test results, non-conformities, and any quality issues identified during the inspection or testing process using quality forms and documentation.

    Collaborate with the higher tier quality engineers to analyze inspection data and identify trends or patterns that may indicate areas for improvement in the manufacturing or assembly processes.

    Assist in investigating and resolving quality issues by participating in root cause analysis, identifying corrective actions, and implementing preventive measures to avoid recurrence of similar issues.

    Actively provide feedback and suggestions to support continuous improvement initiatives, including quality control procedures, inspection methods, and overall product quality, to meet industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

    Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and procurement, to address quality concerns, provide feedback on component or process improvements, and ensure alignment with quality standards.

    Regularly audit quality control procedures, inspection tools, and equipment to ensure their accuracy.

    Understand and follow company and industry safety rules, practices, and procedures.

    Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition.

    Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

    AQE-Electrical

    Conduct incoming inspections on train components to verify their quality and ensure compliance with established standards and specifications.

    Perform electrical inspections during the assembly under supervision, including cable/wire routing, crimping, connection, and termination.

    Ability to use CRRC's customized quality management system to create quality documents and manage the inspection status of trains.

    Archive completed quality inspection documents and upload inspection data to the quality management system.

    Collect car history book required information and assist in creating car history books.

    AQE-Mechanical:

    Conduct incoming inspections on train components to verify their quality and ensure compliance with established standards and specifications.

    Perform onsite inspections during the assembly process of trains to ensure proper installation and alignment of components, adherence to assembly procedures, and overall product quality.

    Ability to use CRRC customized quality management system to create quality documents and manage the inspection status of trains.

    Archive completed quality inspection documents and upload inspection data to the quality management system.

    Collect car history book required information and assist in creating car history books.

    AQE-Testing:

    Perform train wiring tests including continuity test, megger test, and hi-pot test on the trains following test procedures and work instructions.

    Assist in electrical inspections including cable/wire routing, crimping, connection, and termination.

    Read electrical schematics to perform troubleshooting during the testing.

    Travel

    Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be needed.

    Education and Experience

    Required

    High school or higher degrees.

    Proficient in using common measuring instruments for measurement and inspection tasks, such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.

    Proficient in reading technical documents and drawings, understanding product specifications and requirements, and performing work operations based on technical documents.

    Strong communication and coordination skills, capable of effectively communicating and collaborating with diverse teams.

    Proactive and resourceful, with the ability to solve problems and take challenges, actively identifying and resolving quality issues in the work process.

    Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently and completing work on time.

    Good computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

    Preferred

    Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering related discipline.

    Quality inspection/testing experience in rolling stock, aerospace, heavy-duty equipment, or automotive manufacturing industry.

    Knowledge and/or experience of quality management in the engineering aspect.

    Ability to read and speak Mandarin Chinese.
