    FINANCE CONSULTANT

    DURATION: 3+ month contract

    LOCATION: Chicago, IL 60601

    OVERVIEW: The CRS Group is currently looking for a Finance Consultant for one of our clients in the Chicagoland area. The CRS Group is a nationwide Staffing Firm who works primarily with Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 corporations.

    JOB DESCRIPTION:    

    Project Benefit Consultant increases financial rigor in understanding the value/ROI delivered to the organization through project implementation, this role is responsible for partnering with the business to document and review value stories, business cases, and related calculations and assumptions for Enterprise and Divisional projects. Value analysis, forecasting, and pre/post implementation variance analysis to determine present and future financial performance for a given project. Provide end-to-end support of defining, refining, and measuring project benefits and will work closely with Finance to ensure expected benefits are included in financial planning. These activities include.

    • Budgeting – Work with Finance and Business Owners to determine cost center impacts
    • Forecasting – Work with Business Owners to update benefit plan forecasts
    • Mitigation Plans – Work with Business Owners to develop benefit action plans for projects with uncertain/declining benefit plans
    • Measurement – Conduct post-implementation benefit reviews for progress on benefit metrics and targets
    • Reporting and Analysis – Create/Review benefits realization reporting and analysis by investment portfolio
      • Manage conflicting interests of business partners. Ability to challenge conventional thinking and facilitate robust conversations to address issues and drive results.
      • contribute to executive decision making and prioritization of portfolio spending by providing transparency and analysis into the expected return of investment from projects
      • Knowledge with investment valuation techniques including ROI, NPV, EVA, RBC
      • Challenge conventional thinking and facilitate robust conversations to address issues and drive results.
      • Presentation, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
      • PC proficiency to include Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Power BI

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or applicable education
