Job Description
CS Operations, Inc. seeks a Communications Associate to join its team. The position is based in Portland, Maine with limited travel required.
CS Operations provides back-office services to early-stage clean-tech companies. We typically support small- to mid-market startups and special situations, and prioritize working with companies that emphasize positive environmental, social, and governance factors.
Our Public Affairs team provides marketing, public relations, communications, and government affairs services to our clients. Our ideal candidate will be collaborative, creative (but organized), and a motivated self-starter with a great sense of humor. The ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize competing needs, and communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively are essential.
Requirements include:
· At least 3-5 years of experience in Public Affairs, Communications, Government Relations, or similar; experience in clean tech preferred
· Graphic design expertise
· Social media mastery, including content creation and digital advertising
· Full knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with Adobe Creative suite is a plus
· Ability to conduct topic-specific research and cite sources
· Impeccable attention to detail
· Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
Essential duties will include drafting and distributing press releases and news updates, managing social media accounts (including original content creation), development of presentation materials, researching and summarizing key topics, and creation, organization, and maintenance of other communication materials. Some office management activities and administrative support tasks will be required as well.
