     JOB DESCRIPTION:

    • Provide pupil accounting guidance, assistance, and training support to 20 public school academies for all pupil accounting activities including enrollment, count day, federal and state reporting, and best practices.
    • Provide training to academy pupil accountants.
    • Provide CS Partners Leadership with pupil accounting related data reports including enrollment, retention and attendance.
    • If necessary, provide pupil accounting support to academies including completing state submissions in MSDS and providing auditable documents to the ISD.
    • Provide communication regarding upcoming pupil accounting due dates and requirements.
    • Attend professional development opportunities related to pupil accounting.
    • Develop, implement and monitor procedures to ensure timely submission of pupil accounting reporting in order to avoid loss of state aid or financial penalties of our full service schools.
    • Ensure compliance of MDE required transparency reporting information on academy websites.

     KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

    •  Working knowledge of Michigan pupil accounting manual and requirements, and MSDS, MCIR, EEM, SID and CEPI applications.
    • Working knowledge of school information systems such as PowerSchool and MiStar.
    • Possess outstanding oral and written communication skills.
    • Possess general math skills.
    • Have the ability to maintain a high standard of confidentiality.
    • Possess strong talents in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
    • Possess the ability to work independently and with others while meeting reporting deadlines.
    • Completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education; or obtain an associate's degree or higher
    • Technical skills include a proven ability to use Internet, web-based and Microsoft applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Pupil accounting experience is preferred.
