JOB DESCRIPTION
CSCI is looking for a self-motivated Network Engineer to complement our internal managed services group. This person will join our growing company to provide superior support to our managed services customers. The candidate will be required to work within a tight knit group to implement and maintain new and existing network and security systems for our San Diego business clients.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years hands on experience supporting Microsoft technologies – Window operating systems, server products, Hyper-V, active directory, domains along with adding/deleting users, setting permissions, etc. VMWare a plus
- 3-5 years of relevant IT experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure AD
- Advanced experience with Windows networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, FTP, LAN administration and network support tools
- Ability to physically stand, bend, squat and lift equipment (50lbs)
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage day-to-day IT infrastructure
- Monitor networking equipment and servers
- Oversee troubleshooting for system errors
- Provide helpdesk support for network issues and respond to requests for IT support
- Evaluate connectivity issues, equipment, and software
- Modify configurations, utilities, software, etc.
- Install, test, and monitor servers, firewalls, switches, etc. for new and current users
- Document internal procedures
- Perform data backups
- Minimal weekend / on-call support
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Knowledge of Fortinet & SonicWALL products
- Knowledge of Office 365 Administration
- Hybrid Cloud solutions (such as Azure, AWS, etc.)
- Knowledge of SolarWinds MSP, Auvik, ConnectWise a plus
- Familiar with HIPAA compliance and/or DOD compliance
