    Canadian Solar, a renowned leader in the solar energy industry, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Administrator to join our procurement team. The Purchasing Administrator will play a vital role in supporting our supply chain operations by assisting in the procurement of materials, tracking orders, and ensuring efficient inventory management.

    Responsibilities • Collaborate closely with the procurement team to process purchase orders and monitor their status through to delivery.

    • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and components while maintaining strong vendor relationships.

    • Assist in managing inventory levels to meet production requirements and prevent shortages or overstock situations.

    • Monitor and analyze purchasing data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for process improvement.

    • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, receipts, and inventory levels using procurement software.

    • Work with cross-functional teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to orders, deliveries, and invoices.

    • Participate in negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and lead times.

    • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and consistency.

    • Support the preparation of reports and presentations related to purchasing and inventory activities.

    • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in procurement and supply chain management. Experience & Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

    • Proven experience in a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

    • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

    • Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.

    • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.

    • Familiarity with solar energy or renewable industry products is a plus.

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage priorities, and adapt to changing circumstances.

    You should be proficient in:

    • Sourcing and Procurement Experience
    • International Sourcing Experience
    • Supplier Negotiation Experience
    • Basic Computer Skills
    • Driver's License

    Salary info:

    $25 - $30 / hr
