Job Title: Certified Surgical Technician (CST)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Surgical Technician (CST) to join our dynamic surgical team. The CST plays a critical role in supporting surgical procedures by ensuring a safe and efficient operating room environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and organize the operating room with the necessary surgical equipment, supplies, and instruments prior to surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons and the surgical team during operations by passing instruments and other sterile supplies.
- Maintain aseptic techniques throughout surgical procedures to minimize the risk of infection.
- Monitor and report any variations in a patient's condition to the surgical team promptly.
- Perform counts of surgical instruments and materials along with the circulating nurse to ensure no foreign materials are retained in the patient.
- Ensure proper care, handling, and decontamination of surgical instruments.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to patient care and surgical procedures.
- Uphold all health and safety regulations and work towards enhancing and maintaining operational performance.

Qualifications:

- Certification as a Surgical Technician (CST) from a recognized credentialing organization.
- Completed a diploma or degree from an accredited surgical technology program.
- Demonstrated experience in a surgical setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and aseptic techniques.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
