    Associate Dean for Faculty and Graduate Programs (JID 8177) Administrator III David Nazarian College of Business and Economics Full Time

    About the College The David Nazarian College of Business and Economics is comprised of the Departments of Accounting and Information Systems; Business Law; Economics; Finance, Financial Planning, and Insurance; Management; Marketing; and Systems and Operations Management, The College serves approximately 240 graduate students in its MBA, MS in Accountancy, MS in Taxation, and Pre-MBA Certificate Programs. The College is the seventh largest full-time undergraduate business program in the United States, is AACSB accredited, and has been recognized by the Princeton Review and the U.S. News and World Report as a top business school. The College employs approximately 85 full-time and 80 part-time faculty. The College has a large number of successful centers and institutes. Responsibilities The Associate Dean plays a key role in collecting data and preparing reports associated with AACSB accreditation; has responsibility to ensure all faculty meet AACSB faculty qualifications and maintain records of faculty qualifications reporting through digital measures, tracks and assesses impact, innovation and engagement in the College; develops steps to improve college rankings, oversees the timely and accurate collection and submission of data for graduate program rankings and profiles, interprets and executes academic policies and regulations of the University and the College with regards to all graduate programs; oversees and provides creative and effective leadership on curriculum development and delivery, student advising, and academic standards, and curriculum assessment and assurance of learning of the College graduate programs. The Associate Dean also assists, supports and mentors faculty together with department chairs for success. At the university level, the Associate Dean represents the College at the Graduate Studies Committees; and at the college level, serves as the Executive Secretary for the College Graduate Committee. The Associate Dean is a member of the Administrative Council and also serves as an ex-officio non-voting member of the Research and Grants Committee, the Academic Technology Committee, and the College Strategic Vision Committee. With the Associate Dean of Students and Undergraduate Programs, the Associate Dean of Faculty and Graduate Programs co-chairs the Assurance of Learning and Accreditation Committee. The Associate Dean of Faculty and Graduate Programs oversees and co-manages the Office of the Associate Dean with the Associate Dean for Students and Programs. Qualifications Earned doctorate from an accredited institution; academically current with a history of ongoing intellectual productivity; demonstrated excellence in University-level teaching; tenurable in a CSUN department or program in one of the disciplines in the College; demonstrated effectiveness as a member of an administrative team; demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, faculty, staff, and administrators; significant experience in academic administration or faculty governance; demonstrated ability in faculty issues including RTP, faculty bargaining; excellent public relations and communication skills; ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities and identify and solve organizational problems; ability to provide effective leadership in responding to the diversity and international character of the University and the College; demonstrated ability to lead teams and committees with a collaborative leadership style; ability to provide faculty leadership within a college that values diversity, student centered learning, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
