Livingston Med Lab is looking for experienced lab technicians.  Job duties include:

• Perform various types of laboratory testing including hematology, chemistry, molecular, and serology.
• Follow lab procedures for handling and processing specimens, test analysis, reporting, and maintaining records
• Operate test system proficiently
• Trouble shoot test systems and take appropriate action according to protocols
• Follow policies and procedures for quality control performance and documentation
• Perform and document scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance
• Identify problems which may adversely affect test performance or reporting
• Follow all safety and OSHA guidelines
• Participate in continuing education programs offered by the laboratory
• Participate in "Total Quality Management" initiative
• Utilize supplies with minimal waste
• Operate equipment to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.  
• Provide excellent customers service to customers
• Work in a cooperative and supportive manner with other staff
• Respect and maintain confidentiality of customers
• Strive to maintain a positive work environment

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate degree in clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution required 
• 5+ years of experience working as a lab tech required
• ASCP or AMT required
