We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality imaging services in our facility, which includes an Emergency Room, Level I Trauma Center, and Urgent Care. The CT Technologist will be responsible for performing CT scans and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process. This position requires a strong understanding of diagnostic radiology and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans on patients as per physician orders, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess patient needs and provide appropriate imaging services.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation related to imaging procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures during all imaging processes.
- Operate and maintain CT equipment, troubleshooting any technical issues that may arise.
- Assist in preparing patients for procedures, including explaining the process and answering any questions they may have.
- Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure optimal performance of imaging equipment.
- Stay updated on advancements in CT technology and best practices in diagnostic radiology.
Years of Experience: 1 year(s)
Certfications: ARRT CT, BLS, State licensed
Charting System: Epic
Qualifications
- Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) with specialized training in Computed Tomography (CT).
- Experience in Emergency Medicine, Nuclear Medicine, or Mammography is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with PET scans and diagnostic radiology procedures is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a Level I Trauma Center environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
- Current CPR certification is required; additional certifications related to emergency care are advantageous.
