    Overview
    We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team in Portland, OR. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical imaging and demonstrate expertise in performing computed tomography scans. This role is critical in providing accurate diagnostic imaging to assist in patient care within our facility, which operates as a Level II trauma center. The CT Technologist will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality imaging services.

    Duties

    • Perform high-quality CT scans on patients, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and aseptic techniques.
    • Collaborate with radiologists and other medical staff to discuss imaging results and patient care plans.
    • Maintain and operate CT equipment, ensuring it is functioning correctly and safely.
    • Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns they may have.
    • Ensure proper positioning of patients to obtain optimal images while minimizing discomfort.
    • Adhere to established protocols for radiation safety and patient confidentiality.
    • Document all procedures accurately in the patient's medical record in EPIC, including any pertinent information regarding the patient's condition or history.
    • Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on advancements in diagnostic radiology and medical imaging technologies.

    Requirements:

    • Current certifications: ARRT (CT & X-ray), BLS, and applicable state license

    • Experience performing a variety of CT and general X-ray procedures

    • Familiarity with contrast media preparation and safe administration

    • Knowledge of imaging techniques including 3D rendering and multiplanar reconstruction

    • Proficient in scanning areas such as head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, and extremities

    • Skilled in using imaging equipment (e.g., GE, PACS)

    • Able to follow safety protocols, including radiation safety and isolation precautions

    • Ability to start peripheral IVs and assist with special procedures like CTA

    • Flexible to support general radiology department as needed
