Job Description

ASSORTMENT EXECUTION * Build an assortment that is brand appropriate and balanced by category based off of trends * Source new factories and new innovative ideas through extensive online research, trade shows, and industry expos * Continually create newness in concepts to add freshness to the assortment * Suggest category extensions and new key items to grow core business through primary sales channels including CTA Website, Amazon, and Distributor platforms PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND DESIGN * Build a relationship with the Production team that takes into consideration manufacturing limitations, yet pushes our expectations of quality, lead time and price/value * Demonstrate understanding of industry trends and apply them to vision of the CTA assortment to make a statement in our target market. * Generate appropriate quantity and quality of innovative and creative ideas to continue to grow CTA presence on all platforms PLANNING * Manage inventory levels and product assortment by using sales reports and item plans, and know when to change purchasing habits and forecasts based on business needs and sales trends * Analyze the business and work with the Supply Chain Manager to react with timely reorders and cancellations * Work with cross functional teams to make pricing, markdowns, and promotions to keep healthy inventory positions in all categories Required skills * Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics or related field. * 5 years category management experience in related field. Consumer goods or tech preferred * Proven track record of growing categories or leading category growth * Tech Hardware experience a plus * Basic software knowledge is a plus Competencies / Attributes * Strong analytical and organizational skills combined with high creative potential. * Ability to communicate with cross-functional teams * Comfortable with making decisions and thinking outside of the box * Strong negotiation skills.
