    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The C4I Systems Design/Test Engineer will directly support the Advanced Circuits Engineering (ACE) Laboratory as a Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) Subject Matter Expert (SME) and the following are the primary duties and responsibilities.

    • Specialize in PCBA / Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) troubleshooting and repair.
    • Develop PCBA / CCA profiles using ScanCAD, OrCAD, XMatic, or other appropriate software.
    • Use various equipment/machines for PCBA/CCA manufacturing and repair: Pick and Place, Flying Probes, Bake-Out Ovens, etc.
    • Review Requests for Quotes (RFQs) for PCBA/CCA manufacturing or repair and gather the supply data for RFQ Business Case Review and help perform the business case review and analysis.
    • Help generate an estimate for the approved RFQ Business Cases: Gather available Technical Data Package (TDP) information; Coordinate initial screening of product components and Bill of Materials (BOM) with the ACE Lab Project Manager to add risk levels to individual components; and Identify labor, material, and testing requirements. 
    • Help maintain and update the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the ACE Lab role.
    • This position may provide training and/or technical guidance to lower-level engineers and technicians.

    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or other Technical Discipline 
    • 2 + years of relevant experience and an industry trade school or civilian college in electronics may be substituted for the bachelors degree
    • Completion of an appropriate military A" school, completion of at least one appropriate military B" or "C" school, and 4 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree.

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Active DOD Secret Security Clearance 
    • 6 + years of recent C4ISR or other relevant EE experience in electronic system and equipment design, troubleshooting, manufacturing, repair, installation, testing, documentation, and recommending corrective actions.\
    • Experience with ScanCAD or OrCAD

    PREFERRED SKILLS:

    • Expert in Basic Electricity/Electronics (BEE).
    • Knowledge and experience with Navy and/or DoD C4ISR systems, especially with NAVWAR programs of record.
    • Solid knowledge of schematic reading, systems troubleshooting, and component level troubleshooting.
    • Experienced operator and/or developer of ATE and Radio Frequency (RF) test equipment.
    • 1-2 years of experience creating project financial estimates, which includes materials to repair or manufacture electrical components and equipment.
    • Quality Management System (QMS) experience that is compatible with ISO 9001:2015.
    • Prior Navy experience preferred.
