    ABOUT HEALTHCARE:

    The Healthcare Service Line works with Pharmaceutical, bio-tech, medical device manufacturers and technology companies throughout the PRODUCT LIFECYCLE from early stage strategy, to launch of a new product, to product optimization.  In addition to custom PRIMARY MARKET RESEARCH, the healthcare Service Line also works on therapeutic centers of expertise in Oncology, Autoimmune, Virology and more.

     

    WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE IMPORTANT AT IPSOS?

    A successful VICE PRESIDENT OF CUSTOM QUANTITATIVE PRIMARY MARKET RESEARCH blends strategic knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry with quantitative primary market research expertise, leadership skills and analytical knowledge to contribute to the growth of the Ipsos Healthcare business. A demonstrated ability to DESIGN AND DELIVER HIGH QUALITY, STRATEGICALLY RELEVANT PRIMARY MARKET RESEARCH solutions for clients is critical to success in this role. The heart of the Vice President position is managing accounts and growing a team of market researchers.

     

    WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO BE DOING:

    • TEAM MANAGEMENT
      • Manages and maintains TEAM OF TYPICALLY 3 TO 6 RESEARCHERS delivering between $2MM – $4MM in topline revenue per year.
      • DEVELOPS THE SKILL SETS AND CAREERS of the team’s junior and mid-level primary market researchers to maintain a high performing team that grows the next generation of leaders.
      • Actively LEADS STRATEGICALLY IMPORTANT PROJECTS and guides the successful execution of other projects as necessary.
      • Oversees PROPOSAL RESPONSE for all the team’s opportunities.
      • OVERSEES CLIENT DELIVERABLES AND PRESENTATIONS to ensure strategic and tactical needs are met on every project, ensuring high client satisfaction and loyalty.
    • BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
      • Frequently and proactively ASSESSES THE HEALTH OF THE TEAM’S ACCOUNT PORTFOLIO, identifying under-performing accounts and establishing business development strategies and tactics to ensure the portfolio continues to grow.
      • Ensures the team’s BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT activity is managed systematically.
      • ESTABLISHES AND NURTURES RELATIONSHIPS with senior-level clients.
      • COLLABORATES WITH CROSS-FUNCTIONAL LEADERS within Healthcare and across Ipsos Service Lines to ensure projects are resourced with the right configuration of capabilities.
      • MAINTAINS AN ACCURATE FORECAST of short and long-term future opportunities.
      • ENSURES PROJECTS ARE PRICED APPROPRIATELY and maintains healthy margins and profits.
      • ENSURES FINANCIAL HYGIENE of all team’s projects (bookings, invoicing, year-end consolidation).
    • THOUGHT LEADERSHIP
      • Develops EXPERTISE IN ALL OF IPSOS HEALTHCARE’S PRIMARY MARKET RESEARCH OFFERINGS. Skillfully presents these capabilities.
      • Establishes and builds a specialization in specific analytic frameworks and techniques to ADVANCE IPSOS HEALTHCARE’S TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES AND MARKET DIFFERENTIATION.
      • Contributes to and leads elements of Ipsos Healthcare’s INTERNAL TRAINING
      • Proactively brings NEW IDEAS FOR RESEARCH CAPABILITIES AND INTERNAL BUSINESS SYSTEMS to senior leadership for consideration to enhance Ipsos Healthcare’s competitive advantage.

     

    THIS MIGHT BE THE JOB FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE:

    • 12+ years of experience in PRIMARY MARKET RESEARCH INCLUDING RESEARCH DESIGN AND DELIVERABLES, with some of that in healthcare research.
    • Team and account PORTFOLIO management experience.
    • Strong ANALYTIC and hands–on data skills.
    • INNOVATIVE, CREATIVE AND STRATEGIC THINKER.
    • Strong PRESENTATION SKILLS.
