JOB PURPOSE: Design, code, test, support and debug new software and/or existing software. Collaborate closely with other developers and contribute subject matter and technical expertise to develop products used in Residential, Commercial, Golf and Agriculture Irrigation
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Code, test, debug, document and implement complex software applications
- Prepare program specifications and diagrams, and develop coding logic flowcharts
- Proficient with developing code with a high level of unit testing coverage.
- Selecting and using the most appropriate and efficient technologies for a particular application.
- Experienced with Agile development.
- High quality mobile app user interface design and development.
- Experienced with technologies and database development; SQL, NoSQL, .NET, AWS, Azure.
JOB DIMENSIONS
- Has thorough understanding of technical concepts required for specialized field. Uses that knowledge, creativity and company practices and priorities to obtain solutions to complex problems. Provides work leadership to others. Interfaces with senior management to provide and obtain information and to build consensus regarding project direction.
- Travel Requirements: Occasional. Less than 10%.
Required Skills
SPECIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering and 4 + years experience in software development.
Capabilities:
- Knowledge of all phases of software development including design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and support
- Ability to work with a team of developers on within multiple locations and multiple projects
- Ability to work closely and communicate with engineering teams to understand their requirements and effectively translate that into technical requirements
- Cross platform mobile app development; Android and IOS
Technology Experience:
- Web Services, Web API, and Enterprise Services
- HTML5, CSS, JavaScript , Java
- Mobile platform API, iOS and Android
- XCode
- Android Studio
- Familiarity of backend computing; security, database.
- Cloud services such as Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure.
