General Summary:
The employee will perform various tasks related to the planning, development, implementation and management of a comprehensive, affordable and effective systems support strategy. Key participant in developing long term weapon system supportability approaches that further the Government’s acquisition strategy goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Provide product assistance to the PM and Product Support Manager (PSM) for the execution of the PSM’s duties as the Total Life Cycle Systems Manager; also provides assistance to the sustainment teams through data analysis, acquisition management, procurement, and other associated logistics data of critical assets, insurance spares, tooling, and related parts and material.
- Provide assistance to the development and maintenance of Post Production Support Plans (PPSP), Post Production Transition Plans (PPTP), and Transition to Post Production (TPP) and shall develop and execute requirements in phased strategies for PPTP and TPP.
- Coordinate all logistics elements including but not limited to spares, Support Equipment (SE), training, facilities, technical data, and provisioning to ensure all integrated logistics support requirements for the program are identified and tailored to the directorate's needs.
- Assist in accomplishing analyses, writing reports, recommending actions, or performing any related tasks that provide logisticians the capability to conduct the orderly arrangement of all maintenance support, including SE, to keep systems and equipment ready to perform assigned missions.
- Assist with identifying, reviewing, and analyzing deficiencies and ECPs IAW the weapons system contract and reviewing recommended TO changes (Air Force Technical Order [AFTO] Form 22, Engineering Dispositions), identify potential impacts to the supply chain, and provide inputs to Integrated Logistics Support Managers (ILSMs), program managers, and fleet managers.
- Provide complete logistics support in all aspects of supply chain and inventory management support including accessing, updating, and maintaining applicable logistics data systems.
- Assist in producing or reviewing documents for program office use that support the breadth of acquisition and sustainment logistics efforts.
- Support the program office during Materiel Solution Analysis, Technology Maturation and Risk Reduction, EMD, Production and Deployment, and Operations and Support phases, to include all milestone activities.

- Experience generating and reviewing Mission Impaired Capability Awaiting Parts (MICAP) Reports.
- Experience identifying and tracking Diminished Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) issues.
- Experience with logistics and acquisition systems such as: Logistics, Installations and Mission Support-Enterprise View (LIMS-EV), Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), Electronic Document Access (EDA), Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) eTools, and FedMall preferred.
