    We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team. This person will work on cutting edge projects for our Communications Industry customers. You will be designing and developing the latest advancements in Electronic Test Engineering. RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
    • Provides accurate and timely programming of all CNC Program Systems and CNC Work Centers as assigned, from blueprint to first article.
    • Provides technical support to Lead personnel and setup personnel as needed, including training on set ups, program changes, as well as assisting in resolving problems to avoid production delays.
    • Insures accuracy of jobs through the shop by identifying and correcting errors and/or changes on prints when needed.
    • Researches and applies knowledge of various materials, insert grades and the tooling required in all machining operations.
    • Accurately operates and understands all aspects of multi axis CNC.
    • Provides estimated cycle times to Engineering personnel as requested.
    • Designs fixtures, tools, and dies for all areas of production as assigned. Coordinates with all parties involved.
    • Works with CNC programmers, setup and machine operators to optimize machining processes and tooling.
    • Works on specific engineering projects as assigned by manager.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills

    • Thorough knowledge of blue print reading and has the ability to interpret drawings.
    • Ability to solve machining problems using proven problem solving methods.
    • Strong written and verbal skills.
    • Ability to multi-task, with good organization, attention to detail and ability to prioritize.
    • Applies proven technology independently.
    • Self-starter capable of solving complex problems with little supervision.
    • Good interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels in the organization while remaining customer oriented.

    Required Experience

    • Minimum 1-3 yrs. experience working as a CNC Lathe & Mill Programmer from blueprint to first article.
    • 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field required.
    • Software: SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
    • Knowledge of engineering principles, especially related to machining manufacturing methods and featuring.
    • Knowledge of continuous improvement, and Lean Processes.
