    CTDI is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our corporate Engineering team and will work as part of a dynamic team of Mechanical, Software, and Robotics Engineers, in a fast-paced environment with an ever changing set of businesses and facilities to support. This 1st shift position will be responsible for the designing of testing for back-haul data equipment, as well as, Server Test Development. The selected candidate will develop industry leading automated test systems for Motherboards, Servers, and high speed Backhaul Switches.

    The associate engineer performs routine engineering work, assisting senior-level engineers on major projects. This position requires the day-to-day application of comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturer’s manuals or similar documents. Responsible for assisting engineers and technicians in implementing process flows for new product introduction and coordinate with engineers and technicians as a team to accomplish project goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

    • Find root cause/corrective action on failed units.
    • Analyzes technical requirements and effort associated with test systems and products.
    • Generates various documentation, including schematics, diagnostics, flowcharts, and project status reports.
    • Maintain existing testers; keeping them functional.
    • Attends status meetings to discuss priorities and progress toward meeting a given timeline.
    • Train other technicians on proper repair and testing processes.

    Required Skills

    • A self-starter that works on tasks which are complex in nature, and uses common sense to resolve problems and make recommendations.
    • Able multitask and work in a fluid environment.
    • Strong knowledge of Electronics Theory and Telecommunications
    • Ability to plan work sequence for repair, and identify tools and testing instruments necessary for completion.
    • Must have the ability to troubleshoot down to component level
    • Ability to read and modify scripts

    Required Experience

    AS or AA degree from an accredited institution in electronics technology or an electronics discipline and 4 years of practical experience with one (1) of the two (2) years’ experience in electronic troubleshooting.
