Job Description

The Laboratory Manager is responsible for guiding the operations of the clinical laboratories that the Company manages. Responsibilities include oversight of the clinical laboratory and the personnel performing testing services in all labs that the Company manages to ensure that goals are met along with maintenance of compliance with the organization’s policies, procedures and local, state and federal laws. He/she is not required to be on site at all time testing is performed; however, he or she must be accessible to the Laboratory to provide telephone or email consultation on an as needed basis.

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s Degree (Masters Preferred) in Medical Technology or a related science.

· Licensure in State of CA and Board Registered or equivalent.

· Minimum 8-10 years clinical laboratory supervisory experience.

· Positive attitude, excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Mathematics/statistical knowledge and skills.

· Working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation, experience with laboratory logistics, instrument acquisition, instrument and procedural evaluation.

· Knowledge and experience with performance improvement processes and quality control.

· Excellent computer skills, problem solving skills and customer focused.

• Ability to understand, organize and manage issues related to training and competency evaluation.

• Experience with accreditation readiness, licensure preparedness, and regulatory compliance.
