    PURPOSE

    The EFT Programmer will support batch and online debit and credit portfolio migrations, Bill Pay, ACH, Payroll and Draft Processing configuration and programming. A successful candidate will have experience with coding projects to support the migration of consumer card portfolios from one platform to another, superior troubleshooting skills, proven project management skills, and will be comfortable with concurrent project timelines involving multiple stakeholders. Additionally, as a member of the Programming Team the candidate will collaborate with the Conversions and Client Experience Teams, credit union, and vendors to achieve project success.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    1. Diagnose & Document EFT-related software issues using industry standard and proprietary toolsets.
    2. Lead resolution efforts, including working directly with internal and network stakeholders to align all resources needed for full resolution.
    3. Mentor/Coach junior level associates to increase their understanding of EFT-related topics with a goal of reducing future escalated incidents.
    4. Successfully execute projects to support card conversions and platform migrations for both batch and online card bases, including cut-over events.
    5. Configure certification and production systems to process debit/credit transactions, create & send batch files such as card maintenance and positive balance files.
    6. Participate in batch and online vendor certification in accordance with project specifications.
    7. Write or modify programs to support Bill Pay, ACH, Payroll and Draft Processing configuration and programming.
    8. Properly and effectively track time spent, detailed task management, and project statuses within established Project Management software in accordance with documented policy and standards.
    9. Maintain highly organized and well executed project management requirements for team and self to ensure proper execution of service level agreements and mutually agreed upon deadlines.
    10. Other duties as assigned.

    SERVICE LEVEL AGREEMENT

    Internal

    1. Uphold CU*SOUTH Code of Conduct and PRAISE Core Values
    2. Provide same-day response to all internal inquiries received by noon that day, provide next day response to all others, establishing priority to urgency on all requests.
    3. Provide internal support to all CUSO Development lines of business accordingly, to advocate and encourage internal collaboration.

    External

    1. Uphold CU*SOUTH Code of Conduct and PRAISE Core Values.
    2. Adhere to timelines provided to Clients and communicate necessary changes to implementation timelines clearly and effectively.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

    1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar discipline or equivalent experience.
    2. Project Management background, working projects with multiple stakeholders, preferred.
    3. Familiarity with financial institution payment processing and settlement, including ACH, Drafts, Debit, and Credit transaction processing.
    4. Experience with credit union back-office operational procedures and regulations preferred.
    5. Knowledge of business software including Office 365; Project Management Software such as Jira, Monday, or Wrike; Programming and querying experience with tools such as RPG-Free, SQL, IBM Query preferred.
    6. Professional demeanor with the desire and ability to explain complex issues in plain language so that non-programming professionals may understand.
    7. Demonstrate analytical curiosity and organizational skill, including the proven ability to adapt to a dynamic project environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    8. Ability to work under pressure and manage difficult situations and mission critical deadlines with empathy for “the customer’s customer.”
    9. Willingness to occasionally work outside 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. business hours in accordance with project timelines.
    10. Ability to exercise discretion when handling sensitive or confidential data is required.
