Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join The A'Roma Ristorante team. In this role, you will learn to cook from our recipes while presenting your own creations. We are a family owned and operated Italian Restaurant with more than 30 years at this location.You will work closely with the current kitchen staff to present authentic Italian meals that keeps our customers coming back over the years while creating new customers with our classic menu in addition to daily specials. The ideal candidate is experienced with Italian Cuisine including pasta, seafood, chicken, steaks, appetizers, salads and pizza. Responsibilities:
Create innovative menus according to the seasonal availability of ingredients and customer expectations
Prepare and plate food according to kitchen specifications
Supervise and coordinate all food preparation and presentation
Provide training and leadership for kitchen staff
Maintain appropriate levels of inventory
Follow all food safety rules and regulations as required by Orange County Health Dept.
Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED
Previous culinary experience with Italian Food
ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification
Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques and recipes
Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure
Excellent management and leadership skills
