    Job Description

    CV Inc. is currently seeking applicants interested in an mid-level Survey Civil/H&H Engineering position at our Gaithersburg office. The Civil/H&H Engineer will be part of the team under the direct responsible charge of a Professional Engineer. Work may be part of a team or solo. Work opportunities will involve cad software, preparing reports, civil engineering, SWM, SD etc computations. Work is performed under the supervision of an Supervisor who assigns and inspects work to ensure that it is conducted in accordance with client requirements and with accepted engineering standards. CV, Inc will support an eager candidate for professional licensing that has the proficiency to learn and welcome new challenges.

    EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

    • Perform design/field work related to storm drainage and stormwater management, grading, site inspections, ADA & Traffic barrier inspections.
    • Prepare plans in AutoCAD and MicroStation per requirements of jurisdictions.
    • Preparation of all associated calculations, reports and spreadsheets.
    • Preparation of Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) and Water & Sewer Plans.
    • Apply for permits/approvals using jurisdictions Online Upload systems (Projectdox, Eplan etc)
    • Run Civil Engineering software (TR-55, TR-20, HEC RAS, etc)
    • Perform computations using Excel spreadsheets.
    • Read, understand and apply codes, design manuals in different jurisdictions.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, EIT preferred.
    • 2-5 years of civil engineering H&H experience
    • Proficient with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, MicroStation V8, MS Office products.
    • Effective written and communication skills.
    • Experience in Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties, MDOT-SHA a plus.
    • Microsoft Office experience
    • The ability to work with a team
    • Willingness to work occasional flexible hours
    • Ability to obtain security and safety certifications
    • Must be able to pass drug screening and background checks
    • Positive attitude and professionalism
    • Exceptional organization skills
