    Summary:

    This position is responsible for overseeing daily revenue, billing and customer onboarding and other operation functions. Reporting to our Senior Manager of Customer Service, this individual will have the opportunity to greatly impact and improve revenue and billing processes within our fast-growing shipping, logistics and technology business. This role has significant impact in all aspects of the operations including customer service, dispatch, and billing. The incumbent will heavily interact with our Customer Onboarding team, Information Technology, Finance and Sales departments, and will be responsible for receiving and entering both manual and EDI delivery orders and/or shipment notifications in accordance with established company guidelines. The Revenue and Customer Onboarding Manager, in collaboration with the Customer Service department, will ensure the company exceeds operational and customer excellence.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Monitors and manages the email platform/inbox used to receive manual delivery orders and shipment notifications.
    • Monitors and manages the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) queue of the Management System.
    • Manages shipment data integrity for all critical data points including, but not limited to, the below:
      • Master bill of lading number
      • Origin terminal and Steamship line
      • Vessel and Vessel ETA
      • Customer reference number
      • Ship to location
      • Container number, Container size, weight, availability, and Container last free day.
    • Responsible for reviewing, entering, accepting, or rejecting of all delivery orders and/or shipment notifications and EDI transmissions in accordance with established internal criteria.

       

    • Responsible for identifying data suitable for automation and working with the IT and Finance Teams through automation completion.
      • Responsible for customer notification of shipment acceptance or rejection.
    • Responsible for managing empty container per diem lease table for ocean carrier standard container free time and custom free time per customer.
    • Analyzes third party payments and verifies compliance with contractual terms, fee schedules, or other formal agreements. Reviews each customer contract.
      • Responsible for various daily reporting to department management and supervision.
      • Meet designated KPIs weekly, monthly, and quarterly according to Company policies.
    • Develop, enhance, and document billing and customer onboarding processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
      • Liaise with operations, finance, technology, sales, and other functional areas.
      • Participates in customer calls.
      • Other tasks and duties, as assigned.

        Desired Skills and Experience:

      • Bachelor’s Degree.
      • At least 7 years relevant experience.
    • Strong presentation and customer relation skills required; experience in building long term partnerships.
      • Logistics, Manufacturing, Technology industry preferred.
    • Demonstrates proficiency in providing accurate and detailed analysis in a fast-paced environment.
      • Ability to work with cross-functional teams, critical.
      • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.

        Education and/or Experience Four-year college or university degree required; at least 7 years’ relevant experience required
