  • Responsibilities

    Configure the Foxboro DCS system by developing the software configuration and selecting and configuring the hardware. Work with 3rd-party interfaces and standard industry communication protocols. Support all aspects of work throughout the nuclear engineering lifecycle. Interpret customer technical specifications and generate strategies for implementation in production. Assist in customer defining detailed application, system and hardware requirements. Direct implementation for complex major projects. Prepare detailed hardware/software specifications on company products and develop detailed engineering estimates for potential projects. Consult with 3rd-party vendors to define interface. Coordinate and/or participate in on-site engineering, start-up and application commissioning. Develop software and complete all necessary documentation to meet requirements of the application specifications. Travel (up to 25%) may be required to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States and internationally (China, France, Korea).

    Required Skills Required Experience

    Employer will accept Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field, followed by seven years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered, or seven years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in an engineering-related occupation. Must have at least 7 years of experience with each of the following skills: DCS/HMI project engineering, including Foxboro DCS platform; 3rd-party interfaces and standard industry communication protocols; Leading large-scale project experience in the nuclear industry; Control Design and Implementation using nuclear standards including IEEE; Experience with the deliverables required in the nuclear industry following IEEE standards and working to the Global Nuclear Procedures; and, Main Control Design for nuclear plants. Travel (up to 25%) may be required to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States and internationally (China, France, Korea).
