    About Us Vorst Custom Cabinets is a locally owned cabinet shop focused on high-quality custom cabinetry for homes and businesses. Our work combines traditional craftsmanship with modern design and technology. We take pride in building beautiful, functional spaces and creating accurate digital designs that guide the process from concept to installation.

    We are looking for a motivated individual who has an interest in cabinetry and CAD experience to join our team. Someone who enjoys both construction and technology and wants to grow their skills in custom cabinet design will do well in this role.

    Position Overview This position focuses on designing cabinetry layouts and preparing drawings using CAD software with Cabinet Vision. The CAD Designer works closely with our shop and project team to translate design ideas into accurate digital drawings used for estimating, manufacturing, and installation.

    Experience with Cabinet Vision software is strongly preferred, along with familiarity with AlphaCAM or other CNC-related software used in cabinet manufacturing.

    Responsibilities

    Create cabinet layouts and drawings using CAD and Cabinet Vision

    Develop detailed shop drawings for production and installation

    Use Cabinet Vision to build cabinet models, adjust dimensions, and prepare projects for manufacturing

    Work with AlphaCAM to support CNC machining and part preparation

    Collaborate with the shop team to ensure designs are practical and buildable

    Make revisions as projects evolve

    Maintain organized project files and documentation

    Learn and apply cabinet construction methods, materials, and hardware

    Qualifications

    Interest in cabinetry, woodworking, or construction

    Experience with AutoCAD, drafting, or similar CAD software

    Familiarity with Cabinet Vision or cabinet design software

    Exposure to or interest in AlphaCAM or CNC-related software

    Comfortable working with computers and design technology

    Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills

    Ability to collaborate with a small team in an in-person environment

    Strong organizational and communication skills
