Local Home Improvement Company is looking for a Cabinet Production Manager to join our team. The Cabinet Production Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of our cabinet manufacturing and assembly department. This person will be responsible for ensuring that production schedules are met, quality standards for finished cabinetry are maintained, and the department operates efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in cabinet production, millwork, or a related wood product manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties:

Manage, direct, and motivate the activities of the cabinet production and assembly department staff, including cut lists, routing, sanding, finishing, and final assembly.

Develop and execute production schedules to ensure timely completion of cabinet orders while optimizing labor and material usage.

Ensure that production goals are achieved and that high-quality standards for all finished cabinetry are consistently maintained.

Establish and maintain a positive, efficient, and safe work environment for all production employees.

Oversee the hiring process, including interviewing candidates, reviewing resumes, and negotiating job offers for production staff.

Conduct regular reviews of cabinetry-specific equipment to determine functionality and ensure proper maintenance and alignment with current manufacturing practices.

Ensure that all cabinet production processes and standard operating procedures are strictly followed, documenting any issues or deviations.

Maintain accurate records of all production activities, including job progress, material consumption, and deadlines for completion of tasks.

Lead training sessions for all employees on best practices for quality control, machine operation, and finishing techniques.

Ensure that all production equipment is in good working order and meets the company’s safety regulations specific to woodworking and manufacturing.

Ensure that all production staff adhere to company policies and procedures regarding time off requests, work assignments, work hours, etc.

Skills:

Proven experience as a Production Manager or Supervisor in a cabinet, millwork, or wood manufacturing environment.

Deep knowledge of cabinet construction, materials, finishes, and assembly processes.

Ability to read and interpret cabinet shop drawings and blueprints.

Ability to lead teams, create a positive work environment, and develop people.

Strong problem-solving skills, particularly related to troubleshooting production bottlenecks, machine issues, or quality defects.

Experience with Marketsharp (or another CRM) a plus!
