    About the Role:

    Knight Cabinetry is seeking a seasoned and driven Cabinet Shop Foreman to lead our high-performing custom cabinet team. This role requires exceptional craftsmanship, a passion for precision, and the leadership skills to manage personnel, workflow, and quality from start to finish. You'll serve as the hands-on leader of our shop floor—coaching our team, solving problems, and ensuring each project meets our standards and schedule.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead shop production : Manage day-to-day workflow, personnel assignments, and job prioritization to ensure on-time, on-spec production

    • Hands-on expertise : Execute and train others on every step of custom cabinetry—cutting, milling, assembly, finishing, and install

    • Technical proficiency :

      • Operate and maintain CNC router, edge bander, and a wide range of shop machinery

      • Spray and finish cabinetry in a spray booth environment

      • Read and mark up shop drawings and production plans

    • Install-ready prep : Ensure every cabinet is production-ready, with tight tolerances and premium finish quality

    • Quality control : Review all products before delivery or installation, proactively correcting defects

    • Team management : Mentor and train junior craftsmen, delegate work effectively, and address personnel or production issues as they arise

    • Job site interface : Coordinate with install team or deliver cabinets personally when needed (own truck preferred)

    • Shop culture : Uphold safety, cleanliness, and culture on the floor. You set the tone.

    Required Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of cabinetry experience , including custom, one-off builds

    • Deep expertise across all phases: cutting, building, fitting, sanding, finishing, and site install

    • Proven leadership experience in a shop or construction environment

    • Fluent in interpreting shop drawings, cabinet software layouts (Mozaik preferred), and build specs

    • Proficiency with finishing systems, including HVLP spray setups

    • Skilled with cabinet machinery: CNC, edge bander, table saw, shapers, routers, etc.

    • High standards of craftsmanship, speed, and professionalism

    • Own full set of tools for cabinetry production

    • Self-motivated, highly accountable, and team-first

    Physical Requirements:

    • Stand for long periods, lift 50+ lbs, and maneuver large cabinet parts

    • Comfortable working in both shop and occasional on-site environments
