JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Local Transportation Driver is responsible for driving flatbed trailer to haul sod and lumber in Orangeburg, South Carolina area. Additionally, the driver will occasionally haul wean pigs and feed.

ABOUTTHE POSITION:

Cactus Family Farms (CFF), a leader in the Swine Industry, is currently seeking candidates for a Local Transportation Driver based out of Orangeburg, South Carolina area.

Truck is based out of Orangeburg, South Carolina and runs locally hauling sod and lumber and occasionally weaned pigs.  

REQUIREMENTS: 

-Minimum of 23 years of age

-Must hold a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record

-High School Graduate or equivalent

-Swine experience (preferred but not required); Must be willing to work with pigs on occasion and follow all of Cactus Family Farm's animal welfare protocols

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Responsible for promptly reviewing, and understanding, dispatch sheets

-Confirming and running loads with approval from transportation manager

-Oversees minor truck an equipment repairs and maintenance

-Drives safely and adheres to CFF Vehicular Guidelines
