JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Long-Haul Transportation Driver is responsible for pig safety and comfort when loading, handling, and transporting pigs from Georgia to Iowa.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

Cactus Family Farms, a leader in the Swine Industry, is currently seeking candidates for a Long-Haul Transportation Driver based out of Orangeburg, South Carolina area.  

Truck is based out of Orangeburg, South Carolina Feed Mill and runs from South Carolina and Georgia to Iowa hauling livestock. Hauling over the road an average of three days, with additional days to haul locally available.

REQUIREMENTS: 

-Minimum of 23 years of age

-Must hold an active Class A CDL; Motor Vehicle Record Report Required 

-High School Graduate or equivalent

-Swine experience (preferred but not required). 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Responsible for promptly reviewing, and understanding, dispatch sheets

-Confirms animal arrival and dispatch times with CFF sow farms, contract nurseries, contract finishers, and packers

-Oversees minor truck an equipment repairs and maintenance

-Drives safely and adheres to CFF Vehicular Guidelines
