    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Wolf Creek Feedyard is seeking individuals to join our Doctoring Crew and our Processing Crew.

     

    ABOUT THE POSITION:

    Doctoring Crew

    • Work within the Cattle Department under the supervision of the doctoring crew manager.
    • Follow all animal health directives from our on-staff veterinarian to correctly diagnose and treat cattle.
    • Daily observation of cattle to monitor animal behavior signs and indicators of illness.
    • Work within the Cattle Department under the supervision of the processing crew manager.
    • Assist with processing protocols for all cattle as they enter the feedyard
    • Administer animal health products and animal identification in accordance with the company policies
    • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of cattle handling and any equipment to process or move cattle.

    Processing Crew

    • Work within the Cattle Department under the supervision of the processing crew manager.
    • Assist with processing protocols for all cattle as they enter the feedyard
    • Administer animal health products and animal identification in accordance with the company policies
    • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of cattle handling and any equipment to process or move cattle.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • High school, GED, or completion of Technical or Trade School certificate (Preferred, but not required)
    • Ability to work independently and in a team setting
    • Previous cattle handling knowledge and experience
    • BQA Training in any segment is a plus
    • Adaptable team player capable of shifting from several tasks
