ABOUT THE COMPANY:

ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Mill foreman is responsible for daily observation and inspection of machinery to ensure that all equipment is running effectively to obtain maximum production levels. Additionally, the Mill foreman will assist in batching feed for the cattle and assist in team management and development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect machinery daily
- Observe and follow the computer system to detect maintenance tasks needed
- Assist crew with daily mill housekeeping items; cleaning and organizing work areas
- Comply with safety practices, procedures, and mandatory regulations such as EPA, FDA, and OSHA
- Oversee and perform feed ingredient mixing
- Load feed onto feed trucks
- Communicate about feed needs with the feed delivery team

REQUIREMENTS:
- Mechanical knowledge
- Experience with heavy operating equipment
- Team Player
- Communicate effectively with team and Mill Manager
- Assist in the development of crew and team management
- General Understanding of boilers and electrical systems
- Must be able to walk and stand for an extended time
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Fluently speak Spanish (preferred but not required)
- Agriculture college degree
- Technical Skills (5+ years)
