    Program Administration and Logistics Assistant

    • Remote position open to global candidates with an ability to work within 2-3 hours of U.S. Eastern time zone and collaborate with partners in Latin America, Africa, Europe, and Asia
    • Full-time position (40 hours)

    The Cadasta Foundation is a global non-for-profit organization that provides technology, training and technical support to help governments and local communities document their land, property, and resource rights. We are seeking a Program Administration and Logistics Assistant to provide our Land4Climate (L4C) program with administration and training logistical support.

    This role will provide a range of functions, including administration, pre- training preparation, and post-training documentation, as well as coordination of travel and logistical support for the programs team responsible for delivering training and technical support to L4C's partner organizations around the world.

    This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Global Programs and is an exciting opportunity to perform a range of tasks that facilitate smooth coordination of training delivery and technical support and to grow professionally in the field of international development.

    Our ideal candidate is someone who is detail-oriented and organized, with excellent writing and communication skills in English, a strong team player, and has a passion for our work. Familiarity with the use of technology to solve development challenges, cross-cultural skills, and experience working in a developing economy context are a plus. We seek someone who is familiar with the operating environment of the international development sector (land experience is an additional plus), organizations, such as NGOs, consulting and implementation firms, and/or donor organizations.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide administrative and logistical support to program team members and program activities;
    • Assist program team with pre-training preparation, including the compilation of training material and post-training activities including training evaluations and issuance of training certificates;
    • Assist with organization of program documentation, including developing filing protocols and ensuring that all program documentation is properly stored;
    • Work with the Program Management Team in initial configuration of program management platform and ensure it remains updated;
    • Assist with monitoring of project reports, budgets, expenditures, and deliverables;
    • Assists with relevant program-related research as requested, including attending and reporting on conferences and other outside events when needed;
    • Support organizational marketing and communication efforts, including social media when needed;
    • Possible travel to the field may be required; and
    • Other tasks and duties as assigned.

    Desired Skills, Qualifications and Experience

    • A college degree, preferably in a relevant field international affairs, international business, non-profit management, or area studies;
    • Self-motivated, team-oriented, strong interpersonal skills, and willingness to take on a variety of roles and tasks;
    • 2-3 years experience working in an international development setting in the U.S. or abroad;
    • Excellent English oral and written communication skills required; other languages a plus;
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a global team;
    • Ability to quickly research, analyze, and provide written summaries of relevant program and industry information;
    • Experience writing briefs, proposals, notes, reports, agreements, and other documents;
    • Detail-oriented with an ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines;
    • Administrative skills and leadership ability to anticipate needs and take action;
    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where complex tasks are necessary; and
    • Familiarity with donor organizations and their regulations & operating procedures a plus.
