We are looking for a mission-driven, product-oriented full-stack software developer to join our core team as a Full-Stack Software Engineer. You will be part of a powerful mission delivering an innovative and empowering product that reimagines the birth control pill experience. We are a growing dynamic team that is obsessed with solving the problems facing women's health today.

As our first full-time engineer, your initial responsibilities will include designing and implementing major components of our iOS app. As engineering lead, you'll also play a key role in setting the engineering strategy, shaping the team culture, and influencing the product roadmap.

THE JOB:

• Own development of Cadence's innovative app which tackles all aspects of birth control pill management
• Develop the user experience for Cadence's connected hardware/software system (prior experience in connected hardware is a plus)
• Scale our system to effectively manage and utilize users' data
• Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of product

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Self-starter with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and meet changing deadlines and priorities
• Strong process orientation and organization skills
• Strategic mindset and the ability to connect long-term vision to short-term objectives and initiatives
• 2+ years of relevant software engineering experience
• Industry experience in building scalable and secure back-end systems.
• Quick learner who works well independently but also seeks a collaborative approach to problem-solving

BONUS:

• Today Cadence is built with React Native, MongoDB, and Node.js / TypeScript.  Previous experience with these technologies is strongly preferred.

PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE REQUIRES BEING FULL-TIME IN OUR SAN FRANCISCO OFFICE.
