  • Responsibilities

    JOB SUMMARY

    Maintain a professional, positive and upbeat attitude. Responsible to clean and supply all assigned areas, including room attendant carts, storage rooms, and public areas. Provide support to the housekeeping department by running supplies as needed to room attendants and guests upon requests. Maintain all floors in a clean and safe manner.

    SUMMARY OF MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Keeps all guest corridors and stairways neat, clean, vacuumed, and dusted. • Shampoos, extracts carpets and polishes/buffs floors as outlined by Executive Housekeeper on floor schedule and as a needed/requested. • Cleans all linen closet floors and empties trash on floors. • Stocks all Room Attendant carts with proper supplies. • Restocks guestroom supplies in the linen closet weekly. • Maintains inventory of all guest supplies. Delivers guest request items when assigned. Returns to Housekeeping office after guest has checked out. • Assists the Room Attendants by ensuring linen chute is clear and laundry bins provided for soiled linen. • Responsible to ensure all linen carts are weighed and logged before going to laundry vendors. • Responsible to ensure all returning linen carts are weighed and logged when returning from laundry and before being placed in closets. • Delivers linen from the laundry to the floors as needed. • Assists with pre-making linen bags for next day’s departures/arrivals. Delivers to storage rooms on floors daily. • Offers all assistance possible to the guests. • Assists during deep cleaning times with tasks such as turning mattresses and removing sheers and drapes. • Delivers clean linens to the Housekeeping and Kitchen areas daily. • Separates linen into laundry carts. • Empties trash from Housekeeping areas. • Transports trash and waste to central disposal area. • Records linen inventory in housekeeping closets on a daily basis. • Delivers roll-a-way beds and cribs to guests. • May perform Laundry Attendant duties as required.

    Required Experience

    EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    • Requires basic employment skills in clerical, service, or manual areas. • This position requires a minimum formal education of some high school. • Minimum of six months job-related experience. • Minimum of 1 year floor tech experience with carpet extractor and floor buffing/polishing equipment. • Basic computer knowledge and usage preferred. • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
