    Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Uptown is a new state of the art surgical hospital in the Dallas’ Uptown area. Specialties and services will include Orthopedic, Spine, Pain Management, General Plastic, and Ear, Nose and Throat surgery.     Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Uptown is a part of United Surgical Partners International (USPI). USPI owns and operates multiple surgical hospitals and ambulatory surgical care centers throughout the United States and London; with headquarter located in Addison, TX.

     

    under the direction of the CEO, this positions is responsible for all departmental functions in support of the hospital mission vision and facility goals. The Director identifies the cost-effective systems needed to support the business of the department taking into account business trends, resource availability and changes in customers.  This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors.  The Department Director works with Senior Management in meeting Facility goals.  The Director oversees environmental services, linen services, waste disposal, and biomedical equipment inspections.

    Required Skills

     

    .   Demonstrates an understanding of emergency procedures, fire drills, evacuation procedures and

           internal/external disaster procedures, as outlined in the fire and safety manual; knows personal role in the

           event of fire while on duty.

    .   Provides a safe environment; demonstrates alertness to areas needing attention in avoiding unsafe    

           conditions.

    .   Addresses residents, visitors and co-workers in a pleasant and respectful manner; displays courtesy at all

           times.  Respects the rights, privacy and property of others at all times.

    .   Checks all lighting in and around the skilled nursing facility on a regular basis.

    .   Replaces bulbs as needed and/or makes necessary repairs to fixtures

    .   Change air filters monthly.

    .   Change water filters on ice maker every three months. 

    .   Check  for incoming work orders

    .   Repairs are done and work areas are kept clean.

    .   Completes assigned or routine jobs in a timely manner.

    .   Cleans and repairs exhaust fans every three (3) months.

    .   Checks and repairs water sprinklers on regular basis.

    .   Reports needed materials for ordering.

    .   Open and close gates at the Professional Building.

    .   Keep an ongoing knowledge of jobs in progress.

    .   Cleans work and shop area.

    .   Reports to Maintenance Supervisor any changes in work schedule

    .   Keep up with work orders and turn in at end of shift.

    .   Observe and abide by all policies
