POSITIONED BASED IN CENTRAL TO NORTHERN CALIFORNIA
The Partnership Manager is a key member of USPI’s Management team. This executive will focus on optimizing USPI’s relationships with physicians and hospitals at the equity/partner level. The position will require the ability to:
- Work credibly and productively with physician & hospital partners towards achieving healthy, long-term partnerships
- work as an integral part of USPI management team to maximize the financial success of the partnership
- Develop, motivate and actively participate with the Partners’ Advisory Board (“PAB”) at each facility
- Manage and motivate high powered physician partners
- Initiate and sustain an ongoing dialogue with key physicians about their personal financial objectives
- Advise physicians in a way that they find meaningful on their financial investment in the USPI facility
- Negotiate partnership agreements
- Close new partnership deals
- Communicate in a credible way with USPI Senior Management regarding physicians concerns and needs, both on an individual and partnership level
- Establish strong working relationships with the Regional Vice President of Operations and Administrator, ensure complete and timely communication and coordination of partnership strategy
Functions/Responsibilities
- Structure an appropriate portfolio of physicians within the USPI facility partnership
- Coordinate and help lead each local PAB ensuring the appropriate management of expectations and returns
- Enable the PAB to use properly defined facility valuations as a key tool in structuring the partnership and in recruiting new physician partners
- Recruit new physicians according to the current operational strategy
- Build & execute physician prospect plans by initiating a high value dialogue with the physician prospects
- Strategically target struggling competitive facilities as a source of new physician partners
- Establish meaningful personal relationships with physician partners
- Identify and respond to partnership and individual physician partner concerns and problems
- Become the “voice of the physician” to USPI Senior Management
