    USPI BAYLOR SURGICARE AT MANSFIELD, is seeking a motivated Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team. Baylor Surgicare at Mansfield is a fast paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families. 

    JOB SUMMARY

    Under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Prepares and maintains supplies, instruments and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.

    Experienced in supporting in the following specialties: Orthopedics, ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE OR EQUIVALENT.

    • Completion of an appropriate surgical technician program or previous surgical technician experience of at least two years.

    • PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN AN AMBULATORY SURGICAL CENTER STRONGLY PREFERRED

    • Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient

    • Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation

    • Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed

    • Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians

    REQUIRED SKILLS

     

    Proven experience and success as an Assistant Director of a large school

    Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on teaching experience

    Compliance with state licensing standards for a preschool program director, including but not limited to criminal background screening and fingerprinting

    Minimum requirement of education/experience within one of the following:

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university combined with 6+ months of experience in the group care of children – OR –
    • Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education – OR –
    • Associate's degree or equivalent combined with 1+ year in a supervisory position and 2+ years of experience in the group care of children

    Comprehensive knowledge of national and state education standards, licensing requirements and procedures, and fire, health, and OSHA regulations.

    Strong knowledge of USDA Nutritional Standards for Schools

    Must be at least 21 years old and meet corporate driving requirements

    Valid Driver’s License, as this role may require traveling, as well as helping with transportation for the school
