    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Product Development Project Manager (PDPM) is responsible for managing and facilitating cross-functional product development projects for Cadwell’s product lines. This position is embedded within the product management team, and works closely with R&D to create, release, and maintain Cadwell products. The Project Manager will move between product lines as needed. This position is located at the company headquarters in Kennewick, WA.

    KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Work closely with Product Managers (PMs) and R&D on new product development and maintenance of existing products across one or more product lines as needed
    • Facilitate and coordinate tasks between different functional areas of the company
    • Develop and maintain the project plan, project schedule, release checklist, and project budget
    • Assign tasks to cross functional teams and hold team members accountable for on-time completion
    • Facilitate weekly project status and other meetings as needed
    • Enter User Need and User Story content into TFS or Azure DevOps
    • Prioritize development tasks to reflect the Product Manager’s vision and strategy
    • Work with the development team on an ongoing basis to translate requirements into detailed design specifications, verify that products meet requirements and specifications, including clear documentation of noted deficiencies and replication steps
    • Create and update project and product documentation, such as help files, training materials, application notes, etc. in coordination with Product Management
    • Assist with new product training of Cadwell employees, including applications support, service, installation, and sales support in coordination with PM
    • Act as primary point contact for customers in the Priority Partner Program (P3) in coordination with PM
    • Administer Limited User Testing of new products in coordination with PM and act as initial point contact for documenting issues or suggestions
    • Track and report on progress to project goals and milestones
    • Identify project risks and work with team members to proactively mitigate them with escalation to Product Management as appropriate
    • Evaluate new peripheral devices and accessories to be used with Cadwell’s products.
    • Ensure compliance with Cadwell’s medical device design control procedures and processes
    • Create and maintain project documentation in accordance with Company document control policies, and ensuring compliance with federal and international regulations
    • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

    EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, health sciences or related field required; experience accepted in lieu of degree.
    • Experience developing products within a medical device regulated environment strongly preferred.
    • Experience with medical device design controls, hardware and software development, and cross-functional project management strongly preferred.
    • Experience with Cadwell’s products a plus.
    • Professional Project Management (PMP) certification a plus.

    JOB KNOWLEDGE / REQUIREMENTS:

    • Familiar with defining, developing, executing, documenting project plans and procedures
    • Demonstrated experience of problem analysis and resolution to accurately assess and communicate customer needs
    • Build relationships throughout organization to effectively drive cross-functional projects
    • Willing to “roll up sleeves” and assist in areas outside of core responsibilities when needed
    • Complete work both independently and as an effective member of the team, adapting to changing requirements, deadlines, and priorities as needed
    • Interact with co-workers and customers with a professional and solutions-oriented approach
    • Competency in computer skills: MS Office and Google applications, query tools, and database systems, and Engineering applications; Comfortable with new technologies, computers, and application software
    • Strong English written and oral communication skills required, including understanding, explaining, presenting and documenting complex technical processes and concepts

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • Positions working with Cadwell equipment generally may require some reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, standing, walking, sitting, hearing, visual acuity, color vision, and 2-way written/verbal communication. More specific details may be provided as needed or requested.

    • Work hours outside normal business hours may be required to meet business needs
