Work effectively with the kitchen team and comply with company procedures and food safety policies.
Prepare workstation with required ingredients and equipment while keeping station sanitary and organized throughout shifts.
Prepare ingredients following recipes and guidelines.
Steam, bake, and complete other basic cooking responsibilities as assigned.
Ensure ingredients are labeled, date-stamped, sealed, stored, and rotated regularly.
Become familiar with SOP manual and Policies & Procedures.
Routinely clean the kitchen area and keep equipment and utensils clean and sanitary.
Oversee food levels and restock items on time.
Remove trash as necessary.
Assist with in-home deliveries as needed.
Work at farmers' markets and other local events.
Position Requirements:
High School Diploma, GED, or suitable alternative.
Successfully complete Servsafe training and exam (provided by Café Baby).
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Excellent understanding of food preparation fundamentals.
Ability to follow recipes and instructions.
Sound understanding of food allergies and foodborne illnesses.
Basic mathematical skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Available to work at least 15 hours per week.
Team player.
Ability to effectively listen to, assist and provide product recommendations to parents/caregivers who are seeking guidance and recommendations from Café Baby at the store and events.
Hourly rate of $12.00 to $14.00 depending on experience.
