DOT Compliance/Safety Coordinator - Night Shift 2200
Job Description
The DOT Compliance/Safety Coordinator is responsible for the management of safety programs and ensuring the company’s compliance with all transportation and safety regulations, to include but not limited to DOT, OSHA and all state and federal regulations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA and other relative agencies as they pertain to the company. This includes but may not be limited to:
· Random Drug Testing Program
· CDL and Recertification Physical Renewal
· Hours of Service regulation knowledge and management
· Build, maintain, update, and implement driver qualification records and files
· Manage driver MVR and FMCSA violation databases.
Data-Entry and Reporting: Assist with intake and entry of roadside inspection and citations, and accident, cargo, and workmen’s compensation claims, if and when necessary.
Assist with training and coaching concerning Video Event Recorder and Critical Events.
Help assign training and maintain training database.
Answer and assist with any and all general Safety related calls and questions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in fleet/trucking transportation industry, with Safety and/or DOT administration experience preferred
Knowledge of the current laws and regulations for DOT, FMCSA and OSHA.
Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Effective communication skills - verbal and written
Professional integrity, confidentiality and sense of responsibility and accountability.
Highly organized and efficient worker; skilled at multi-tasking, prioritizing, and time management
Willing to take initiative and work independently when needed but also be able to work in a team atmosphere.
Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
Ability to interact with others in a fast-paced environment.
