The Asset Management Electrical Journeyman is positive, supportive, self-starter who is responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical and communications work of solar projects, training technicians, communicating effectively with our customers, and occasionally provide support to the construction team.

Routinely inspect electrical system communications (cabling, inverters, switchgears, and monitoring communications).
Troubleshoot electrical system issues.
Attend PTO (Permit to Operate) inspections.
Commission of PV (Photovoltaic) systems, battery systems, and charging stations.
Read design drawings, review as-builds and submittals, and plan work accordingly.
Install conduit, pull wire, and make terminations.
Install, maintain, modify and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment between 24v and 12kv.
Install electrical equipment, including transformers, switch boards, panel boards, and disconnects.
Perform take-offs and provide material requisitions.
Survey electrical systems, circuits, and plans.
Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
Field administrative reporting (including, but not limited to: following-up with manufacturer support, troubleshooting options, and all related in-field paperwork).
Conduct RMA’s (Return Merchandise Authorization).
Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, laptop, iPad, and testing equipment.
Facilitate with the Electrical Superintendent before completing hazardous duties.
Follow, review, and implement all company SOP’s (Safe Operating Procedures) to the highest level of safety quality, efficiency, and conformance to original specs.

Help Superintendent as needed to complete, the following:
Daily field reports
Subcontractor supervision
Material/equipment requisitions
Constructability analysis
Due diligence on existing equipment
Request for Information (RFI)
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Required:
Active California Certified General Electrician Certification
3 years’ experience in general construction
Current driver license
OSHA 10 certification
Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with employees, maintaining a warm and professional manner with a positive employee relations and customer service mindset
Able to perform tasks like moving/lifting heavy objects and digging trenches for laying conduit
Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in general construction
Able to troubleshoot low voltage communication systems, servers, PLC’s (Programmable Logic Controller).
Able to complete Aerial Lift Certification, Forklift Certification
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
Understand and remain in compliance with current National Electric Code and NFPA 70E
Understand required tooling and equipment safety for needed work
Excellent critical thinking and decision-making abilities
Able to determine causes of operating errors and troubleshoot
Proficient in verbal and written communication in English
Able to work independently and work effectively as a member of a team
Ability to make sound, independent judgments with little or no supervision.
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
2 years solar experience *Preferred*
Work Environment:
Daily travel to work site
Wear common protective and/or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves,hearing protection, hard hats, etc.
Work is done outdoors year-round, usually at ground level with some roof work.
