  • Responsibilities

    North American Roofing is seeking a highly motivated and goal-oriented CONTRACT REVIEW SPECIALIST.  The successful candidate will have 5+ years of applicable contract reviewing experience, in construction type industry.

    As CONTRACT REVIEW SPECIALIST, will need to have a strong attention to detail while reviewing company contracts and purchase orders. They will negotiate and / or modify terms and conditions on contracts in order to reduce company liability or cost. It is important to establish successful working relationships with our internal and external customers.

    JOB DUTIES:

    • Following up all contracts out for countersignature, to keep forward momentum for job creation.
    • Reviewing and redline all re-roof contracts/Proposal-Contracts for Install jobs.
    • Reviewing and redline all contracts/subcontracts for Service.
    • Reviewing all legal language within new vendor packets plus vendor, supplier, software supplier contracts.

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 

    • 5+ YEARS OF APPLICABLE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT REVIEW TYPE OF EXPERIENCES.
    • Strong understanding of Construction Law.
    • Strong understanding of Contract Law.
    • Strong skills in document review, document amendment and tracking
    • Excellent skills in written and verbal communication.
    • The ability to be an independent thinker and self-starter.
    • Solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task and support varied assignments.
    • Experience in contract negotiation.

  • Qualifications
    • Demonstrated strong proficiency in Revit.
    • Possess creative talent in conceptual design and rendering skills of either hand or computer sketching.
    • Advanced space planning skills and an interest in programming.
    • Knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, materials application and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness.
    • Advanced knowledge of furniture, fixture and equipment (FF&E), architectural/interior finishes, lighting, art signage, color and materials to carryout design intent.
    • Advanced knowledge of building regulations and safety codes.
    • Advanced knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
    • Advanced knowledge of sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelines.
    • Knowledge of buildingSMART, Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Integrated Project Delivery (IPD).
    • Proven ability to prioritize in order to meet deadlines and provide high quality service to clients.
    • Ability to effectively meet deadlines.
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. 
    • Ability to work in team environment.
