Job Description

This Senior Applications Engineer position will work with the National Sales Manager to develop custom-engineered projects. In this role, the Senior Applications Engineer is expected to review customer requests for quotation (RFQ), evaluate the cost impact of detailed equipment specifications, develop upfront designs, generate high level proposal drawings, and formulate project budgets and schedules. The Senior Applications Engineer will be expected to participate in customer meetings, deliver presentations, and generate technical marketing material. It is critical that the Senior Applications Engineer have relevant experience with industrial piping, valves, instrumentation, and vessel fabrications. It is preferred that the Senior Applications Engineer have some experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) equipment. Previous work supporting refineries, chemical plants, or large industrial equipment is preferred.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the technical responses to proposals, including:

High-level design of equipment

Review of specifications and drawings

Budget development

Project scheduling

QUALIFICATIONS:

BS or MS in chemical or mechanical engineering

10+ years of relevant experience

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Proficiency with SolidWorks and AutoCAD

Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time

Strong written English skills required
