    Part-Time Customer Service Associate

    The Calgary Opera is excited to add a Part-Time Customer Service Associate to the team. And barring some good news as it relates to the current pandemic, we see this role moving to full-time too – so this is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door to grow a rewarding career!

    The Part-Time Customer Service Associate will be responsible for handling day-to-day in-person and over-the-phone ticket sales, batch reconciliation, data entry, mailing preparation, as well as acting as receptionist and other administrative and marketing support tasks.

    What we’re looking for on the resume:

    • Minimum 2 years of demonstrated customer service, ideally in a non-profit environment (an arts background would be a super asset!)
    • Exceptional written skills as evidenced by writing a cover letter and attaching it to your resume in one document (this is a hint!)
    • Knowledge of CRM systems is a bonus (Tessitura would be considered another super asset)

    What we will be looking for in the interview process:

    • An ability to work various shifts (depending on when we go back to live performances), with a commitment of 20 - 24 hours weekly
    • Positive, upbeat personality who understands the impact on patron experience
    • A willingness to go above and beyond; to make experiences exceptional
    • A desire to do the task at hand but also roll up your sleeves and work in any department
    • Exceptional oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with anyone
    • Passion for the performing arts and knowledge of classical music

    • An hourly wage of $19.00 - $21.00
    • Preferred shifts are 9 am - 1 pm or 1 pm - 5 pm, Monday - Friday
    • Additional hours will be required on evenings/weekends at event times
    • Mandatory double-vaccination policy now in effect
