Calido is an early-stage product collaboration startup based in Silicon Valley, CA. We are proud to name ourselves the founders of the Product Graph.

Our team is building the world's best product collaboration platform (SaaS), powered by Graph and ML technologies, that is enabling product teams to build and launch the best products on the planet.

OUR TEAM

We are currently a team of 3 dedicated, humble & passionate business leaders building this startup from the ground up. You will be joining a fast-moving team filled with energy, passion, empathy, and a big vision about how AI can help to build customer-driven products.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

You will be part of our leadership team, building an entire product, technology stack and company from the ground up. You will be responsible for technology strategy, engineering, and system development. We expect you to be hands-on, that means you either build, learn to build, or can delegate tasks to other senior engineers in your team who are in a better position for specific tasks to get the job done and move fast.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 12 years in Software Engineering, Data Science, ML related roles
• Minimum of 5 years in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and NLP experience with successful commercial product implementations
• Minimum of 8 years (Four if you don't sleep very much) of involvement in the design, development, and deployment of data-driven analytics software solutions, where individual coding contributions were broadly applicable to success
• Minimum of 5 years building, and leading technical teams involved in analytics software development
• Demonstrable experience in all aspects of the ML lifecycle (processing, training, evaluating, deploying, serving, monitoring), specifically in the NLP and Graph domain
• Experience with large and complex data-driven products using ML and Analytics
• Demonstrated experience with Python and its data science stack (e.g. NumPy, Scikit, Pandas, etc.)
• Experience in contributing to or developing AI/ML solutions
• Experience interfacing with databases (e.g. SQL, MongoDB, Graph Database / Neo4j, etc.)
• Experience teaching or mentoring others
• Experience engaging with senior-level executives, business analysts, and technical subject matter experts in support of data science or analytics efforts
• Experience with the data assumptions and processing steps of common machine learning methods, and which methods are appropriate for a variety of use cases
• Familiarity and ability to develop cypher (graph query language) and utilizing neo4j DS Library to run graph analytics and graph ML.
• Incorporating product analytics into our solutions to enable data-driven product development.
• Building innovative solutions to solve performance and scalability challenges down the road.
• Able to match customer requirements to appropriate technologies and approaches, describe the pros and cons of each option, and provide optimal recommendations
• Able to communicate complex technical concepts to external business and technical audiences, and write at a level appropriate for a senior executive
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Leading & motivating remote teams.
• Able to work independently and self-identify tasks
• Have just the right amount of ego

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• MSc./PhD in Computer Science, AI or related fields
• Expertise in one or more of the following domains: Natural Language Understanding (NLU) and Natural Language Generation (NLG), Graph Algorithms, Machine Learning.
• Strong background in developing and deploying ML models
• Preferred experience in data modeling and master data management
• Past participation in the technology role in a prior venture-funded startup
• Self-starter who can be productive from the first day
• A sense of humor, and calm under pressure
